Summary

The Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting the Americas Planning organization through advanced data analysis, demand forecasting, reporting, and process optimization. This role leverages a broad range of analytical tools—including advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, demand forecasting software, and Microsoft 365 workflow applications—to transform data into actionable insights that strengthen planning accuracy, improve operational performance, and drive business decision‑making. The Planning Analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver clear, data-backed recommendations.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize datasets, planning files, and recurring reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely availability of information.
  • Build advanced Excel models using Power Query, dynamic formulas, data modeling techniques, and automated reporting logic.
  • Create and manage Power BI dashboards, BI stories, and visualizations that communicate KPIs, performance trends, and insights for business reviews.
  • Support monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, including demand reviews, inventory performance analysis, and SIOP-related reporting packages.
  • Utilize demand forecasting tools to analyze demand patterns, forecast signals, outliers, and long‑term trends.
  • Identify and communicate key drivers of demand variability, product performance, and inventory risk.
  • Provide analytical support for forecast accuracy improvement initiatives and planning optimization projects.
  • Develop and implement automated processes using Microsoft 365 tools (Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams integrations) to streamline reporting and planning workflows.
  • Evaluate existing data flows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce manual work, and support digitalization efforts.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to elevate data quality, planning effectiveness, and overall operational performance.
  • Partner with Planning Managers, Supply Chain, Operations, Product Management, Customer Service, and Finance to understand business needs and convert them into meaningful analytical outputs.
  • Communicate insights in a clear, concise, and structured manner for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Support internal stakeholders with ad hoc analysis, scenario modeling, and data‑driven recommendations.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years experience in related fields
  • Demonstrated advanced Excel capability, Power Query, data modeling and dashboard creation.
  • Power BI (data modeling, DAX, dashboard design).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable conclusions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience supporting cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with forecasting/demand‑planning tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar).
  • Background in a manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environment.

Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $65,000 - $80,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 7% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience. Belimo is a total compensation company which includes a comprehensive benefits package including a full range of medical, financial, and other competitive benefits.
