Today, the Danbury branch employs over 400 employees and continues to grow.
Cooking up a Storm
An ambitious journey begins from a kitchen turned warehouse as Belimo takes root in the USA. This marks the humble beginnings of a significant chapter for Belimo USA, firmly establishing Danbury as the heart of its operations.

Belimo grows to 1000 employees, and we produce our one-millionth product.
New Base of Operations
Belimo experiences simultaneous expansion both internationally and domestically. Hinwil becomes, and remains to present day, the global headquarters of Belimo.

This era begins with the Bülomo motor and ends 20 years later with the Halomo.
Raising the Bar
We transition to brushless DC motor technology, resulting in an 80% decrease in energy consumption. The proof-of-concept is demonstrated by Daniel Burkhalter, the son of one of the founders, Walter Burkhalter, and is then further developed until it reaches the production stage.

Maintaining Independence
Belimo Automation AG goes public on the Swiss Stock Exchange (SIX) to maintain the company's independence and stability for generations to come.

Although sales in Asia only made up 5% of our total sales, it was and still is the region with the highest growth rates.
New Fish, Big Pond
Belimo establishes effective partnerships in Asia, signifying the official entry into the world's largest and fastest-growing market with Belimo Asia Pacific and headquarters in Hong Kong.
