Senior / Regional Application Consultant (Data Center), East Asia
The DC (Data Center) RAC is responsible for providing technical expert-level guidance and support for our customers and our Belimo Sales Team to design, build, operate and scale their project more efficiently, sustainably and resiliently by using Belimo field devices in its HVAC applications. He/she is working closely with stakeholders in East Asia (focus on consultants, developers, operators) to understand their requirements, assess their current technical environment, and recommend the right Belimo product to address their challenges and achieve the best outcome. The DC RAC serves as a trusted advisor to the partners, thanks to his/her strong HVAC domain expertise in Data Centers, paired with the in-depth Belimo product and application know-how. Beside his/her focus on Data Centres, he/she acts as a technical team lead for the RAC located in the countries. He/she facilitates the technical exchange among the team and ensure that the local technical know-how is at a good standard and initiates trainings and learning sessions if required. He/she closely collaborates with internal partners (Country Sales, DC Business Development Manager, Product Management, Global technical expert teams and the country RAC's) as well as with external technical Stakeholders with focus on consultants, technical parties from customer side and our Belimo channel partners (System Integrators, Distributors, OEM's).
Job Responsibilities
- Build up and maintain a strong network to Key Stakeholders to become their trusted technical advisor.
- Support sales efforts by cultivating strong relationships with Key Stakeholders by providing product & application training, regular information sharing (Lunch&Learn)
- Write and influence specifications for consulting engineers and end users to support design works, provide recommendations and ensure successful adoption of Belimo product offering
- Provide application consulting, education, and support to the Belimo sales teams and customers for new technical applications
- Act as a coach and mentor to the local RAC community in EA (and AP on request), to ensure technical expertise and information sharing among technical RAC community
- Training (in-person or virtual) for Consulting engineers, owners, customers and others
- Utilize applications expertise to assist sales force in the development of new business utilizing “pull through” sales efforts for the purpose of acquiring specifications and demand for our products
- Assume a lead role in large, complex project coordination to ensure Belimo’s product line is fully leveraged and positioned in design, specifications and (ultimately) procurement
- Effectively utilize sales tools including MS Dynamics to keep informed of new consulting engineering and end user projects and provide leads to sales teams
- Work closely with the Sales Director / Technical Support / AP Product Managers and subject matter experts to deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Stay up to date with the latest DC and HVAC industry trends, technologies, and best practices to provide innovative solutions while also researching industry trends and implications with a strategic focus on the Data Center market
- Identify potential new product applications and communicate concepts to Sales Team, Product Management and Engineering to create new business opportunities
- Represent Belimo in relevant Associations and Industry events
- Work on committees and special projects as requested
- Work Closely with OEM’s and sales team for technical and application support related to pre or post sale activities
Job Specification
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Diploma Holder candidates with extensive experience and shows exemplary knowledge, passion and interest in HVAC and Hydronic Engineering shall be considered
- 5 Years of proven track record in consulting engineering, Data Center design/operations, or applicable experience in the HVAC or related technical field
- Established network with DC stakeholders (M&E consultants, operators and developers) is a plus
- Good command of written and spoken English, other Asian languages is of an advantage
- In-depth technical understanding of HVAC, hydronic and controls systems
- Proficiency in computer operation and work-related applications (especially in MS Office, CRM Dynamics)
- Persuasive and ability to interact with customers, suppliers on a professional level
- Strong technical aptitude, structured thinking and problem-solving skills
- Outgoing personality with strong communications and presentation skills are a must
- Strong organizational, inter-personal, and negotiation skills are required
- Good Team Player with positive and collaborative attitude to find best solution for customer
