Senior Legal Counsel Americas
Summary
The Senior Legal Counsel, Americas role is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support and strategic counsel to management across all corporate and contractual matters impacting Belimo Americas. This position oversees the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide range of agreements—including purchase, supply, and development contracts—ensuring legal accuracy, clarity, and alignment with business objectives. A key focus of the role is safeguarding the organization through effective corporate governance, development of internal legal guidelines, and proactive identification and mitigation of legal risks across the Group. Additionally, the position contributes to fostering a strong compliance culture by conducting internal training sessions and providing ongoing education on legal and regulatory requirements. This role reports directly to Group General Counsel with a dotted line to Vice President, Finance Americas.
What You'll Do
- Advising and supporting management in all legal matters relating to Belimo, including corporate and general contract law
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, such as purchase, supply, and development agreements
- Conducting contract negotiations
- Drafting and reviewing legal guidelines and directives
- Ensuring corporate governance of the Group
- Identifying and minimizing the Group’s legal risks
- Defining legal strategies and conducting out-of-court negotiations as well as court proceedings
- Mandating, instructing, and supervising external lawyers
- Conducting internal training and continuing education on legal and compliance issues
Who You Are
- Juris Doctor, completed degree and bar exam
At least 8 years of experience as a corporate lawyer or working in a commercial law firm advising on US law
- Proven history of success in contract law
Ability to communicate appropriately at all levels
- Highly service and solution oriented
- Strong analtyical and organizational flair
- Availability for regional and global travel (5%)

Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,000 - $175,000 hourly with a target performance bonus of 20% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
