Embedded Matlab/Simulink Developer - HVAC Application (80-100%)
Summary
In this role, you will own designated library topics, collaborate with architects and requirements engineers, and develop robust, maintainable solutions in a Matlab/Simulink environment. Your expertise will contribute to the quality, reliability, and scalability of a platform used across multiple products.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain assigned HVAC library components, ensuring high quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with architects and requirements engineers to understand, refine, and clarify technical requirements.
- Design structured and maintainable solutions in Matlab/Simulink aligned with system and architectural requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to developers during implementation.
- Participate in and contribute to code reviews, ensuring compliance with quality standards and design specifications.
- Ensure adherence to architectural principles, coding guidelines, and software development best practices.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues while continuously improving performance and maintainability.
- Document designs, technical decisions, and lessons learned to support knowledge sharing and long-term sustainability.
Who You Are
- BSc or MSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Control Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Several years of experience in embedded and model-based software development using Matlab/Simulink.
- Experience in control systems, device logic, or similar engineering software applications.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, code reviews, and maintainable software architectures.
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to translate requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a quality-focused mindset.
- Fluent English language skills; German is considered an advantage.
