Many Belimo devices are equipped with near field communication (NFC) capabilities, allowing a suitable reader – such as a smartphone – to integrate and configure these components without the need for additional tools. Importantly, this system uses electromagnetic induction to power the component's NFC interface, allowing it to be accessed in both powered on or off states. Coupled with the Belimo Assistant App, NFC puts extensive configuration, diagnostics and commissioning tools at the user's fingertips. Automatic updates ensure that the latest devices are always supported, including newly added features, and direct communication between devices is guaranteed.
