2023 AHR Expo Innovation Awards in the Indoor Air Quality Category

We are excited to announce that Belimo Room Sensors and Room Operating Units have been selected to receive the Innovation Award in the Indoor Air Quality category at the 2023 AHR Expo Innovation Awards.

The annual awards competition honors the most innovative and original products, systems, and technologies showcased at the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) in the categories of building automation; cooling; green building; heating; indoor air quality; plumbing; refrigeration; software; tools & instruments; and ventilation.

Winners were selected by a panel of third-party ASHRAE member judges who evaluated all award entries based on innovative design, creativity, application, value, and market impact.

2022 BCIA - Technical Innovation of the year award

Belimo Energy Valve™ 4 & Thermal Energy Meter
The Technical Innovation of the Year 2022 - Products Award was fiercely contested and its Belimo Automation UK who are victorious for their Belimo Energy Valve™ 4 and Thermal Energy Meter. The Award is for the most innovative building controls/BEMS product development introduced into the UK market.

2022 Red Dot Design Award

We are proud that our room sensors and operating units have won one of the most prestigious product design awards - the Red Dot Award for 2022. 

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the biggest design competitions in the world. In three disciplines, participants submit products, communication projects, and brands as well as prototypes and concepts. The distinction “Red Dot” is an internationally recognized seal of excellent design.

2021 Belimo Wins Switzerlands Leading Technology Award

A unique experience: At the Swiss Innovation Forum on 18 November in Basel, we pitched for the Swiss Technology Award 2021 in the category Innovation Leaders. We are proud that we could convince the top-class jury and receive the coveted award in front of numerous decision-makers from business, politics, and science. The trophy not only recognizes our work – it also brings with it a high media radiance and significantly helps us to carry our project further into the future.

The Swiss Technology Award is the most important award for innovation and technology transfer in Switzerland. Every year, the prize is awarded to the most outstanding technology-based innovations and developments in the categories ‘Inventors’, ‘Start-ups (Rising Stars)’ and ‘Innovation Leaders.’ It was awarded for the 33rd time this year.

The Solar Impulse Foundation granted a portfolio of 1000 innovative solutions that meet high standards of both sustainability and profitability. We are proud to announce that the Belimo Energy Valve™ has been selected to be one of the 1000 solutions awarded the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label.

2021 Swisscom IoT Climate Award

Belimo wins second place at the Swisscom IoT Climate Award with the Belimo Energy Valve with its cloud connectivity.

The Swisscom IoT Climate Award honours outstanding achievements of organisations and their contributions towards climate protection. It also helps to inspire the industry to make positive changes and ensure a sustainable future.

2020 CEO of the Year

Investment performance and operating performance were the key financial indicators that earned Lars van der Haegen, the CEO of Belimo, a position at the top of the 'CEO of the Year' rankings. The Swiss research company Obermatt conducts an annual assessment of listed Swiss companies to identify the best managed companies.

This award goes to all Belimo employees and we would like to congratulate all of them for making Belimo one of the most successful companies.

2020 Belimo is Leading Employer

In 2020, we were singled out for the LEADING EMPLOYER Award for the second year in a row. Leading Employers is the most comprehensive evaluation of employer qualities of its kind. It involves an independent study based on several million metadata. A total of over 20,000 companies were included in the study.

The meta-analysis is based on a holistic approach: not only are certain perspectives or topics taken into account when evaluating an employer, but an overall picture is also considered, which is necessary to identify an outstanding employer: employee satisfaction, working conditions, understanding of values, job security, prosperity, HR expertise, image, environmental awareness and much more.

Employees and search robots research, collect information and compile millions of data records from studies, statistics, evaluation portals and reports. All sources used in the survey are public and transparent. Further details of the study can be found here.

2020 Corporate Excellence Award

Belimo wins the Corporate Excellence Award for the third time

The BELIMO Holding AG wins the Corporate Excellence Award 2020 of Hérens Quality Asset Management AG (HQAM). After 2010 and 2011 Belimo has won this award for the third time. HQAM rewards Corporate Excellence Award to companies that, thanks to good management, enable a sustained high return on investment and are solidly financed. 
Since 2010, HQAM has presented annual Excellence Awards to the world's best quality companies. The national winners are chosen for all important European markets, the USA, Australia, Japan, China and South Korea.  As the Swiss winner, Belimo belongs to the highest-quality companies of the year.

2020 Belimo takes first place in the LüKK trust award in the category of MSR components

Unlike other awards in the industry, the LüKK Trust Award is not only about technology, but above all about the quality of advice, service and ultimately the trust that customers have in "their" manufacturers. It is therefore a special pleasure for us to be the winner of the 2020 award.

Belimo Receives Two Awards

The 2018 ControlTrends Awards which celebrates the best of the best in smart buildings and HVAC controls was held in conjunction with the AHR Expo. On January 14, 2019, Belimo was awarded with Best Technical Support Company of the Year — Large Manufacturer. Belimo offers extensive customer service and support over the life of the product. 2018 EnergieGenie Award

Belimo Energy Valve™ wins EnergieGenie Award 2018

The "EnergieGenie Award" was presented on 2 March 2018 during the Energiesparmesse expoEnergy in Wels, Austria. The Belimo Energy Valve™ won the accolade over another 24 submissions!

In terms of energy policy within European countries, Austria is instrumental in shaping measures to achieve the various climate goals. Nevertheless, the measures that have been implemented to date are not yet sufficient. A reboot of the energy and climate policy for Austria was decided by the Council of Ministers based on this knowledge. The various endeavours to achieve this were apportioned among several Federal Ministries – including the Federal Ministry of Sustainability and Tourism. The "EnergieGenie Award" was created in cooperation with the state of Upper Austria and the Energiesparverband Oberösterreich (regional energy agency of Upper Austria). The expert jury based their decision on the sustainable achievement of the greatest possible energy savings, among other things.

2017 ControlTrends Energy Savings Solution Product of the Year

The Belimo Energy Valve and IoT device won Energy Savings Solution Product of the Year with its ability to utilize advanced cloud-based analytics to leverage captured system data to the full potential providing savings and the most efficient operation. The Energy Valve is a pressure independent valve, which measures and manages coil energy by using an embedded electronic flow meter, along with supply and return water temperature sensors.

2017 Most Impactful Marketing Collateral of the Year

Belimo’s received the award of most impactful marketing collateral for the ZoneTight Zone Valve campaign.

2017 Belimo Wins LüKK Most Trusted Company Award

1st place for Belimo in the MCR components category

Stuttgart – On 22 June 2017 and at an occasion celebrating the 50th anniversary of cci-Dialog GmbH, the trusted company award for the ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry (Vertrauenspreis der LüKK) was presented for the first time in the German city of Karlsruhe. 70 manufacturers from the ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry had opened themselves up to judgement by specialist planners, plant engineers and operators. A total of 536 jurors decided on the rankings with 25,600 individual assessments and 14 product categories. In the MCR category, BELIMO Stellantriebe Vertriebs GmbH from Stuttgart, a member of the BELIMO Group, took the top spot.

The LüKK trusted company award is setting a new course. In addition to satisfaction with the technology and products on offer, the award also assesses the quality of the advice and service provided and asks whether customers would recommend the company. After all, a recommendation signifies a vote of confidence in the company, its products and its employees. Above all else, the award therefore recognises customer satisfaction with the "complete package".

2017 Executive of the Year for a Large Manufacturer

James Furlong, President of Belimo Americas, received from ControlTrend Executive of the Year for a large manufacturer leading the HVAC industry in valve, actuator and sensor solutions.

2017 Climate Control Awards

Belimo Automation FZE winner of the “Manufacturer of the Year (chilled water system equipment and components, less chillers) for the Belimo Energy Valve™ version 3.0, at the CPI Climate Control Awards under the patronage of United Arab Emirates Ministry of Infrastructure Development.

This year, entrants were asked to write a 500-word essay addressing three questions, the answers to which, along with a short presentation with Q&A's , would decide the winner.

These were;

1. How are you aligned with or are helping achieve goals stated in national, regional and global vision statements? (in the context of energy conservation, sustainability and demand reduction targets).
2. How can you provide objective evidence to demonstrate your alignment?
3. How can your initiatives be scaled up rapidly, so that they benefit a larger population and effectively cover all parts of the country or region?

All entries were assessed and judged by a panel of regional HVAC professionals. The process was overseen by KPMG.

The award was presented to Belimo Automation FZE by one of the event sponsors, Prakash Rudrappa, Head of M&E Gulf District Cooling Company, and Holly Chant, Executive Director of Corporate Sustainability and Commissioning at KEO International Consultants.

David Stevenson, MD of Belimo Automation FZE said, ''Winning this prestigious award against such high quality competition is a result of the continuing hard work, commitment and investment that Belimo makes in developing new and innovative HVAC building system solutions that help our customers become more successful''.

2017 Swiss Employer Awards

BELIMO ranked as one of the best employers again

BELIMO Automation AG has been awarded as one of the best employers in Switzerland in the Swiss Employer Awards 2017. For this award, over 28,000 employees from 120 companies in Switzerland and Liechtenstein took part in the comprehensive survey. In the category of “Medium-sized Companies”, BELIMO Automation AG from Hinwil (Zurich) achieved an excellent 4th place.

The result is based on the evaluations of employees of BELIMO Automation AG. They were questioned anonymously on central workplace topics such as work content, structures and processes, cooperation, management within the group, change management, management by superiors, employee development and remuneration.

Lars van der Haegen, CEO at Belimo, commented: “Our employees are highly engaged and therefore, achieve organizational health which is not necessarily measurable but essential for our success. With its Power Control and Delta T logic, the Belimo Energy Valve was a recipient of the ACME (Atlantic Canada Mechanical Exhibitors) Innovation Award at the MEET Expo in Montreal. 2016 GBB Award

The fifth GBB Awards: Belimo Energy Valve™ recognised in the "Products / Services" category

This year saw the 7th GBB (Green and Blue Building Conference) and it was the 5th time that the award of the same name has been presented. These awards recognise projects and products for sustainable buildings.

The international jury (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Jäschke Brülhart, MMag. Philipp Kaufman MMAS, Associate Univ. Prof. Dr. Gunther Maier and Dr.-Ing. Wolfram Trinius) for the GBB Award is made up of "ambassadors" of sustainable and lifecycle-oriented buildings

Belimo 6-way Pressure Independent Valve Receives the Gold Medal

Belimo Poland received Poznan International Trade Fair's gold medal for the 6-way pressure independent characterized control valve. This medal is one of the most prestigious in the Polish market, and is well recognized within the HVAC community. It is awarded to manufacturers of products with exceptional features, such as innovative application, functionality and energy efficiency. The award committee consists of leading academics as well as industry specialists.

2016 Percorso Efficienza e Innovazione

Belimo ZoneTight™ Zone Valves Receives Percorso Efficienza e Innovazione

Belimo Pressure Independent Quick Compact Valve (PIQCV) and the 6-way pressure independent valve products were awarded in this year's Percorso Efficienza e Innovazione, an initiative at MCE organized in collaboration with the Scientific Committee of the Politecnico di Milano, aimed at highlighting and awarding the best products presented in each MCE edition.
