You turn a technical drawing into a finished part. You do the turning, milling and drilling yourself and often decide entirely on your own how and with which machine you will get there best. Later on you even assemble whole devices and check that everything really runs. Working independently does not mean working alone here, because your team is always there when you are stuck.

The great thing about Belimo is the prototype workshop. Here you are not standing at a conveyor belt doing the same thing a thousand times over, instead you have something new in front of you every day. You also program machines and work with 3D models on the computer.

That also includes programming, though not for websites or apps but directly for the hardware, that is to say for machines. Only once everything fits on the computer do you build your circuit, take measurements and solder the components together. This might surprise you: you do not have a soldering iron in your hand all day, because most of the time you are developing and tinkering on screen.

In this profession you specialise in networks, servers and the cloud, in other words the backbone that everything in a company runs on. You plan these systems, keep them running and protect them from attacks from the internet. Here you really go into depth and become the expert for a demanding speciality. If something fails somewhere, you and your team quickly find a solution.

You plan projects, talk to lots of different people and make sure that everything fits together in the end. There is more to video editing than you might think, too, because first you come up with a concept and write a script. Real skill then means achieving a good result not by chance, but every single time. That is exactly the knowledge you learn with us.
