Belimo’s FSKN Remote Testing Module Wins AHR 2027 Innovation Award
Belimo’s FSKN Remote Testing Module will receive an Innovation Award in the Tools & Instruments category at AHR 2027. The awards recognize HVACR products, systems, and technologies based on their design, creativity, application, value, and market impact. The awards ceremony will take place Monday, January 25, 2027.
Simplifying periodic life safety damper testing
The FSKN Remote Inspection Module is a simple, cost-effective solution for periodic life safety damper testing. It initiates damper cycling, verifies damper position, and delivers digitally documented pass/fail results to a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Integrating with Fire Control Panels (FCP) or the Building Management System (BMS) using BACnet or Modbus, the FSKN is designed to meet the periodic testing requirements of NFPA 80 and NFPA 105.
“The FSKN Remote Inspection Module represents the kind of innovation we strive for at Belimo: technology that makes buildings smarter, safer, and more efficient,” said Mark Armon, Belimo Product Manager. “By enabling remote testing, the FSKN Remote Testing Module significantly reduces inspection time, labor requirements, and disruptions to daily operations. This helps organizations improve efficiency and lower costs while maintaining compliance.”
With remote testing, real-time system visibility, and automated digital documentation, the FSKN brings periodic damper testing into connected building automation systems.
From actuation and control to remote testing and digital documentation, Belimo’s complete fire and smoke portfolio provides an integrated approach to life safety damper applications. Whether specified for a new building or incorporated into an existing facility as part of a retrofit, Belimo solutions help simplify installation, testing, and ongoing management while supporting safer, more efficient building operation.
