Belimo at the 2024 AHR Expo in Chicago

At the bustling 2024 ASHRAE Winter Conference and AHR Expo in the windy city of Chicago, Belimo's booth was well received. The company’s RetroFIT+ display at the front reception counter caught the eyes of attendees, representing the company’s program to help customers learn how to apply energy optimizing technology to their existing HVAC systems. Organized by product area, the Belimo booth displayed the company’s offering of Damper Actuators, Control Valves, and Sensors / Meters.
At the Belimo booth, QR codes were on display next to each product, allowing showgoers to learn more online if interested. The Sensors/Meters area, in particular, was a hub of curiosity and conversation. With two tables displaying an extensive range of Gas Monitors, Room Sensors, Pipe and Duct Sensors, and the newly introduced Leak Detectors, it was clear that Belimo's expansion into the sensor and meter market has been well-received. In particular, the Gas Monitors and their ability to measure up to two different gases simultaneously piqued the interest of many visitors.
The Control Valve area was another highlight with many valves on display, including the Belimo Butterfly Valve and Energy Valve. The Energy Valve display illustrated how the integrated Thermal Energy Meter and its patented glycol compensation algorithm automatically adapts to the amount of glycol in the system, eliminating manual inputs and improving accuracy. The Butterfly Valve display demonstrated the convenience of the NFC interface, which allows for easy configuration and maintenance using a smartphone and the Belimo Assistant app, with or without power.
The actuator section featured table-top displays of products, including a section highlighting the Belimo FSKN remote inspection module. Another notable moment was Belimo Sensors & Meters Business Line Manager Eddie Kelley's presentation on Gas Monitors in the New Product Technology Theater. Eddie spoke to a full audience and was well received. Many of the attendees filtered into the Belimo booth afterwards to have their questions answered.
The bitter cold at the start of the show made Belimo's giveaway of knit caps a huge hit, and the “Belimo orange” sneakers worn by the booth staff garnered its fair share of chatter.
AHR 2025 will take place in Orlando, FL, February 10 – 12, 2025.
